Student Ambassadors


Abbye Cox

Abbye is a full-time undergraduate student at UNC in her third year. She is majoring in Journalism and Exercise and Sports Science and is passionateabout the expansion of sport and how the industry continues to thrive as a growing global force. She currently resides as the marketing intern for the Center of Spots Business and works for the UNC football team as a student office assistant. Abbye is very enthusiastic about her work and her school. Go Heels!



Chi Nwogu

Chi is a full-time MBA student at Kenan-Flagler who call’s New York City home. After obtaining his B.A. in Economics from Brown University, Chi worked at JPMorgan before making the transition to sports as the Assistant CFO for Bloomberg Sports. Since then, Chi has worn numerous professional hats in sports ranging from a columnist and fantasy sports TV analyst to out-sourced statistician for NBA broadcasters with STATS LLC. Chi is an avid New York sports fan, bass guitarist and couldn’t be happier to be a Tar Heel!



Jaye Stackhouse

Jaye is a student-athlete at the UNC-Chapel Hill, majoring in the Philosophy and Business of Sports. Jaye, currently a junior, is a member of the UNC Football Team. He aspires to obtain an MBA and become the general manager, then owner, of a major sports organization. In high school, first at Greater Atlanta Christian School, then North Gwinnett High School in Metro-Atlanta, Jaye excelled both academically and athletically. He won numerous All-Conference Awards and was selected to play in prestigious statewide Junior Bowl. Academically, Jaye was repeatedly awarded Academic All- Conference honors and was a member of National Honor Society. At GACS, he was selected Mr. Spartan, an award for student who posed outstanding character and academic achievement. Jaye, a Dean’s List student at UNC, has twice been selected to the ACC Academic Honor Roll. He also gives back with his teammates by volunteering at Ronald McDonald House and with UNC Hospitals. Jaye’s passion for the business of sports was cultivated through countless conversations with his dad, NBA Developmental League Head Coach and 18 year NBA veteran, Jerry Stackhouse. A self-described foodie, Jaye enjoys cooking, international travel and competing at gameshow Jeopardy with family.


Luke Gutekunst

Luke is Senior, majoring in business at Kenan-Flagler Business School and minoring in Mandarin Chinese. His interest in the world of sports has led him to internships with the American Football League of China in Shanghai and Wasserman in Los Angeles. He works as a student manager for the UNC men’s soccer team and is an active participator in the Kenan Institute Basketball Analytics Summit. Originally from Allentown, Pennsylvania, Luke is passionate fan on all sports and is finding creative ways to tie his love for sports into professional ventures.
