The Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise seeks to provide opportunities for students to collaborate – in a beneficial exchange of knowledge and resources – with the public. Engaged scholarship is critical to the holistic development of young leaders. To that end, the Connections initiative focuses on the programming activities of the Carolina Sport Business Club and the MBA Sports & Entertainment Club.

Carolina Sport Business Club and MBA Sports & Entertainment Club – These organizations are dedicated to providing professional development opportunities for UNC students interested in a career in the sport business industry. The Clubs accomplish their mission by hosting professionals in the industry, administering a sport career conference, partnering with Club alumni, and visiting sports facilities in the USA.

The numerous activities to fulfill this mission includes supporting key partnerships with ESPN, Carolina Hurricanes, Durham Bulls, Google, NBA Charlotte Hornets, NFL Charlotte Panthers, Research Triangle Park 2.0, and local sport businesses.
